Job Description
The Software Engineer III role at Walmart Global Tech involves designing and building scalable distributed applications within the Associate Technology – Health & Wellness team. The role focuses on delivering secure, compliant, and high-performance digital solutions supporting pharmacy and retail technology systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop scalable distributed applications using ASP.NET MVC 6 / .NET Core 3.1+ and C#
• Build REST-based services and applications using HTTP(S), WebSocket protocols
• Work in Agile environments using Jira and CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure strong ownership of modules and deliver independently
• Implement unit testing and automated functional tests
• Optimize performance and ensure secure coding practices
• Collaborate with product, DevOps, and cross-functional teams
Required Skills
• 2–4 years full stack development experience
• Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, and distributed systems
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Git/GitHub/DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Knowledge of REST APIs and scalable architectures
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Exposure to Java, Spring Boot, and microservices
• Azure services such as Web Apps, SQL, Cosmos, EventHub
• Retail or Healthcare/Pharmacy domain experience

Minimum Qualifications
